I just received my Mini-G. What a masterpiece, Tim!

What have y'all tried for flashlight mounts?
Mine has a muzzle brake so I don't think I Redneck Engineering's converted bayonet will work.

Has anyone tried Beamlockr magnetic mounts from Defender Innovations.
I emailed them and they said their AR mount would "probably" work. (I don't like "probably.")
Here's a link to it. http://ustacticalsupply.com/lightmountforar-15wlight.aspx
I have an AR so it wouldn't be terrible to buy it and discover it doesn't work. (If no one else has a better idea, I'll conduct the experiment.)

If you haven't read between the lines, my Mini-g with Olonganpo stock en bloc pouch is going to replace my AR as my Personal Defense Rifle. (Note: Since the Department of Homeland Security calls ARs "Personal Defense Rifles," that is now the correct style usage for such weapons. "Patrol Rifle" is also acceptable, if your article contains references to law enforcement.)

In Texas and other places, ARs are known as sporting rifles.

I look forward to seeing whatever rig you end up with.

Well, I'd like to see somebody be a guinea pig to at least see if it works. Can't say I would feel good and trust a magnet mount, but would be interested in how you feel about it after using it.

Ultimak rail with a 45 degree offset rail and a 1" accessory clamp.

You might be surprised of the strength of some rare earth magnets

The Beamlocker was not successful.
I used a Dremel to make adopt the M4 bayonet mount to fit the M1 mount. (I am not a skilled craftsman, but the bayonet mount WAS providing some grip. Perhaps a better Dremel operator would do better.)
The rare earth magnets are not strong enough to hold the Beamlocker on the Mini-G.
HOWEVER, if one is encountering a nighttime home invader the Beamlocker would all one to confirm the intruder wasn't the intoxicated neighbor trying to slip into the wrong house.
One thing I like about my M4 copy: It holds it own flashlight.

Might not have the required "grip" during recoil.

There are some photos on the web of people drilling and tapping a small section of rail to the handle of the bayonet. Then you can use any rail mounted light. No modification to the gun needed, easily removable.

I'm a bit late to the show, but when I get a Mini-G, my plan for a light is to use an Impact Weapons Components Thorntail ligt moung via the top rail (Ultimak).
