I currently have two(if you count my PHILADELPHIA DERRINGER.....black powder:D)

COBRA .22 MAG loaded with .22Mag shotshells.......Looks a lot like the old DAVIS derringers.......polished chrome/rosewood.....I used to have a .22 DAVIS, but my Dad talked me into dumping it.......(supposedly not safe..)

I had the old High Standard .22MAG, but the one I had shot a foot high out of the top barrel, and another foot low of POA on the bottom......and that was at like 5-6 yds....

Anybody else dabble in the American Arms Derringers, or even the old Remingtons?

Not really into derringers as such but I do have some really small stuff. I have a S&W Escort mod 60 in 22 cal and a really clean little Iver Johnson 1st model in 32 short. I gave my daughter my Butler derringers in 22 short and that's it. I usually pick them up at gun shows and rebuild them so I rarely keep them.

I have one! It's a Dixie Derringer chambered in .22 Mag. It has a cross bar safety that you engage to prevent the hammer from contacting the round while carrying. It will suprise you! I can put five for five in a 3" circle at 5 paces with the thing! Not much of a gun, but would be a wonderful asset in a knife fight! Thomas

I shot a friends belt buckle gun a couple of months ago. Never do that again! Just a little .22 but I couldn't hang onto the dang thing. One shot and it was pointed straight up.

Carry well in a pair of 511 Medic pants too!;)

Plus I'd make for one F.U.G.L.Y. CHICK! I'd have to wax my back! and figure out the cankle problem!

Aren't derringers chick guns?

KINDA.....This is on the cabinet in our kitchen....Somebody gets "fresh" at the door, it's only 6 inches away.....1 or 2 of these to the face would "sting"........

I once had a Remington 41 rim fire and a Great Western 357mag that resemble the one you display. Long story short. I shot the Remington at an Oak tree and had the bullet bounce back and nail me in the chest! Tried the GW next, fired one round of 357 out of it and had to pry the hammer spur out of the web in my hand. Think I was through? Nope I thought I had held it wrong so I tried it again with the same results(still have the scars) needless to say I no longer have either one just some band aids handy in case I get stupid again

Oh MY! I can't begin to imagine what one of those would be like in .357 Mag! A couple of my buddies have the S&W Airweight .357 revolvers I think the best way to demonstrate their recoil is by slamming your hand in a car door! That 'lil derringer HAS to be ROUGH!
