    Saw a Remington 1903a3

Stopped at my local gunshop and found a nice Remington 1903a3 . Decent finish, bore looks good, stock is sound but has been sanded
$550.00 ,If I had the cash I would pick it up and I dont even like the darn things

I picked mine up sometime last year, I have yet to shoot it.

For some reason I find them ugly, but not as ugly as a M1917.

that price not being much more than what the cmp was selling them for tells me that is a good price.

    I really like the 1903-A3,and Mine is VERY accurate,but I still favor the U.S. RIFLE CAL.30 M1

M1 has a good balance, noticed it the first time I held one. The 1903 feels much more like a pool cue.

LOL,...no doubt. The flat buttplate is not a hinder for me. I hope to shoot a match with one sometime, that would wear you out otherwise.

I always use Lake City in my 03's and A3's. I don't think the LC kicks as much as the HXP.
