    Bill, can you not parkerize the frame and the slide?

    I've always liked the look of the parkerized 1911's.

    Josh, yes they can be parked as I'm building a carbon steel 1911. I decided to build the internals of the 1911 from Wilson Combat's "Bullet Proof Parts." Bullet proof parts are made from bar stock which has been made using a CNC, regular parts are cast or pressed. So I've ordered them and should receive them this week along with my slide which should be about finished at Wilson getting sights installed. Please watch for a separate thread about what to have engraved on the side on my 1911 build.
