    My Crazy GrandFather

    While My Mom was cleaning out My Grandfathers things She found these...sorry for the crooked scans.I think this was in '50 or '51..

    My Grandfather is the Guy with the bucket on His head..

    I'm no expert but those uniforms look earlier than the fifties...

    Naww. That's what we had in the late 50's & early 60's.But we didn't wear the leggins.

    The leggings were what caused me to question the date, I thought they were done away with by '43. Maybe the Navy kept using them for a while after the Army dumped 'em.

    In boot camp in 58 we wore them everyday.YUCH.

    Hump, I think after seeing your grandfather wearing a bucket on his head it kind of explains some of your strange conduct from time to time!
