I change the checkered factory grips on my Dan Wesson to smooth as the rubbed my side as I carry IWB. I wasnt sure how well the would grip but the smooth works fine

One of the reasons I'm in the market for a 1911 is that I found some one that sells exotic wood grips. At least this reason for buying a gun is better than most of my reasons for buying which is usually "just because"
