Ya, mine was polished and blued by Bubba. I couldnt stand it so I had it reparked. I need to drag it behind the truck awhile to give it that been there done that look

Mine's a 1918 that was re-done in WWII with a nice repark and a new barrel. Oddly enough they left the rest untouched.
Many redone for WWII got new grips and mainspring housing as well as thumb safety, hammer etc.
Bought it for $900 about 5 years ago.

Pretty 1911. I have Two built 1n 1918. One was blued a long time ago and turned into a target gun. one is all apart right now, was in bad shape. someone went so far as to remove Property of US government from the side of the frame. It is visably thinner then the other side. Now I just need to repark it.
Make Shuff park em Axe. Take it apart and send it to him. The big Silver Back gorilla's got too biga hands to take it down himself.
