His show, Walker Texas Ranger, was filmed in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. He, and Guillard [his sidekick] had a lot of interaction with the local Police.
Both of them are nice guys. I had the oppertunity to visit with each of them a few times, as did several people I know.
