I now know My M14 headspace exactly.

Thanks to Mike Baker I now know My M14's headspace.I tried the tape method first.I added 4 pieces of scotch tape to the 7.62 nato go gage and bolt would not close, then 2 pieces to the no-go and would not close,so assuming that the clymer gages are in spec and that the tape is at .001 this put Me @ 1.639,well I have no way to measure the tape, that was just a general estimate.I also tried said method with My Forster .308 gages, with the same results,so going off of that I am in 7.62 nato specs, then I did a double check.
I checked My bolt lug wear and the wear is even on both lugs(by eye)I then ran the same tests without tape by running My Dad's machinist feeler gages behind the right lug with gages in place.with My Forster.308 Field@ 1.638 I barely got the .003 gage in,so that would put Me at 1.641.I then tried the nato go gage and the results were the same, although there was a tighter fit with the clymer and results match at just @ 1.641....so,I now know that this is where I am at..Thanks Mike!
