Who sells replacement barrels for the 91/30? I want to rebarrel with a heavy match barrel, but can't find anyone who sells them.

    thanks

You probably won't unless you have one made-to-order ($$$$$$$$).

Uh, why? Not to sound like a smart ass, but I'm fairy certain you can replace the gun for less than the cost of a barrel and labor to replace it.
There was a guy converting them to .45-70 at one time!

Why buy a mag fed mini g, you can buy an M1a scout cheaper? Because they are fun to play with is why. I want to build my own mosin nagant that will shoot the way I want it to. I like to play with stuff, so why not. If I screw up, it didn't cost me as much as a remington model 700.

My 91/30 shoots 1.25 inch groups (7-shots) at 100 yards with its standard as-issued barrel. I don't think you'll do much better than that. The odd 7 is because after I drifted the front sight to get the windage centered, that's all the ammo I had left. By the way, Mini-G's and ANYTHING in a scout configuration are butt-UGLY!!!!! No offense Timmy. The Mini-G needs a front hand guard a la the T26.
