    Range report - M1A

Had a little time yesterday so I took the new to me M1A out to the range. I'm impresssed with it. For my 55 year old eyes (I've got astigmatism in both eyes and so near sighted that with the old type lenses they would be called coke bottles) I'm extremely pleased with the rifles performance.

    10 rounds
    100 yds
    shooting off a bean bag
    iron sights
Winchester Super X off the shelf ammo

    Here's the rifle again:

Outstanding, you should be happy with those groups!

Nice shooting! Try different types and brands of ammo; my M1A is the most ammunition-sensitive centerfire rifle that I own.

    Thanks guys.

Melloman , I plan on loading my own for this M1A. Going to work up various powders, powder weights, bullets weights, and over all lengths to see what works best in this one.

Not giving up on the garands just getting out of the box for a while....
