    The only thing I find interesting about it is that you can see the op spring through the holes. I don't know why, but that is kind of neat to me.
    Unless there is some awesome story behind this thing, it's worth whatever the scrap buyer will give me for it.

    There is a "Dug up gun" museum that has stuff like that in Cody, Wyoming.

    My M1 was found at Kakazu Ridge on Okinawa and the cylinder was found near mount suribachi. A Navy pilot picked them up with much more stuff and documented this. I can bet that rifle on auction was found the same way and was cleaned out of storage. I have seen them go for allot of money in the past. Rick B

    Gives a whole new meaning to, "bottom of the barrel". I'm sure the story behind this one is worth more than the pile of rust.
