Have any of you ever tried to finish one of those Lithgow reciever castings the Numrich sells? Thinking it might be an interesting project.

Time to feed the pigs!!!!!!
The sword of time will pierce our skins
It doesn't hurt when it begins
But as it works its way on in
The pain grows stronger...watch it grin.
Timmy did.It didn't even have the cut outs for the bolt lug machined in,so I passed.

The receivers they are selling now are finished. I have seen a couple of rifles using this receiver and was reminded of the old Santa Fe rifles that used the same type of receiver. I was thinking of getting one to play with but hesitated because of the price it would cost to make it operational. Oh yeah called them and was informed that the receivers are finished. BTW Lithgow is some what like SA as it is a civilian operation using or was using leftover military parts. Both our government and theirs closed them down. They went so far as using inspector stamps they had on hand from production of stuff for the Brits.
