    ammo ?

I got a message the other night from a buddy who is thinking about buying a Garand. He said he has some black tipped ammo in clips. I haven't heard back from him about case markings. I was hoping one of you smart fellers might know what that stuff is?

Black tipped should be armor piercing. It may or may not be corrosive.

Don't worry if plan "A" fails, there are still 25 other letters in the alphabet.

Armor piercing. Some ranges it's the kiss of death to use it as it has a real hard steel core! It also makes a really neat show of sparks if it strikes a rock or something steel. I have had no accuracy problems with AP.
