    USMC front sight cover

I grew up shooting Garands and Enfields so I am used to and need something around or framing my front sight. For years I put off buying a USMC front sight cover for my Remington A3 due to the ridiculous cost.Well , I finally bought one from SARCO and ya the cost(80.00 ouch) for what it is is outrageous but I like it. Recently got contacts(multi focal) and this is helping my scores a bunch but now I'm having to adjust my sights on all my rifles. My sight cover came in a little off center when installed so I tweaked it in a vise while heating it with a torch so now it sits pretty well centered. Here it is with a front sight blade welded and honed to .080" wide. Makes for a nice sight picture.
