    They must know something?

"The advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation ... forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of." -- James Madison (1788)

    "We is the Zombies!"

    Yep,
I've read some more in depth reports on other, primarily military forums. Yahoo treats the excercise as a joke, but is was actually a well thought out excercise in joint operations and mass crowd control. In addition to rounding up and controlling large groups of obambies, they had scenarios dealing with IED's, armed resistance and VIP rescue against armed opposition. All of those being carried out against rampaging hordes of 'zombies'. Huh? Zombies build bombs and beseige government buildings? Those must have been the former Republican zombies.
Whoever thought this up was brilliant though.
They got hundreds, maybe thousands of folks to show up, dressed as zombies and work long hours for nothing other than the chance to be a zombie in public. BRILLIANT!
This and other goofy sounding, but serious excercises have been staged around the country to give the military and police some real world training in domestic/urban operations that don't involve mud huts and 11th century goat herders as the locals. Not a bad idea really. AND.. it serves to desensitize the common population to the sight of the military conducting MOUT operations. Trucks full of troops riolling down the streets and helicopters dropping troops in the park is more common in Europe and other countries but not something most Americans are used to seeing.
    Some people are like slinkies.
They aren't good for much, but they do bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
