    Shoudn't he turn?

So the Governor keeps walker heads in aquariums for some twisted reason. They clearly do not die and continue to chomp away at anything that gets close to them. In the last episode he get jabbed in the eye with a shard of broken glass that housed several walker heads. Shouldn't that be enough to make him turn? What about Mishonne? Did she or did she not cut her hand on the same piece of glass as she pulled it from the frame?

    I thought the same thing.
The show seems to ignore everything except bites and scratches when it comes to passing the infection. Glen tore apart a walker with his bare hands and gives the jagged, bloody bones to Maggie.
That alone should have exposed both of them.
    Some people are like slinkies.
They aren't good for much, but they do bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

    you guys are missing something:

No one just "turns". EVERYONE that dies, turns. It doesn't matter if they are bitten or not. No one turns that doesn't FIRST die.

When someone is bitten, they die. When they die, they turn. Turning is NOT the result of the bite. Turning is the result of death. Death is the result of the bite.

What we can ascertain is, that when bitten, death is not too far off. This is likely caused by infection at the site of the wound not unlike that of a bite from a bear or komodo dragon.

Remember, the farmer was bitten. He did not die, hence he did not turn. The area of the bite (his leg) was amputated before the infection could kill him (at which point he would have turned)

In summation, there is no "virus" being carried by the zombies. This is not 28 Days. The zombies are not running around infecting people. They are running around KILLING people.
