best sight for mini g with scout moun

What have ya'll found to be the best sight to put on the scout mount for the M1? I am working on getting a mag fed, with a scout mount. I shot an M1 with a scout mount and aimpoint comp m4 the other day, and wasn't very impressed with that sight on it. It was to high to be able to use the iron sights on the rifle, and no cheek weld was possible. any recommendations

    thanks
    Joe

What I meant was that the aimpoint sat up too high. I'm wondering what the best sight to put on the ultimak would be.
I almost have the money for that mag fed mini g, so get the mill fired up, I will have the money by the end of the month.

I like the s&k side mount it sits in the rear sight mount and allows the use of the iron sights also..Not a scout mount.

I find that just about every rifle needs a cheek pad on the stock to get a good weld. That's why hunting rifles have Monte Carlo stocks.
