    WANTED TO BUY: Garand Rear Handguard

    Guys I am looking for a Walnut Garand rear handguard in very good - excellent condition dark in color. I would prefer original finish
    This is the last part I need for a HRA Build I am working on
    Have $$$$ or Garand parts in trade, have some collector parts

    I just sent a Garand to Tim to have shortened and an Ultimak rail installed.

    You're welcome to the handguard when I get the rifle back. It's original, but the previous owner applied a gloss clearcoat. You'll probably want to refinish it.

    Anyway, it's yours if you want it.

    Bill, I had the same prob on one of mine. I took a little Fiebings Maroon and rubbed it-over the original finish- on a walnut colored handguard followed by a coat of blo and achieved that beautiful black cherry look. Give it a shot.
