I also like them. The history of this model rifle is a study all by itself. Enjoy yours, it will grow on you.

Very nice. I've a few, like shooting the M39 and 28-30 the most.
When did you get the M28? They are hard to come by now.
The rifles were from the 1980's m27,m28,m28-30. Yes they are rare today and when seen they can sell for $600-700 for a nice one today. This were made in small numbers like 20,000 to 50,000. Very hard to find today in decent shape. Look on gunbroker under Finnish rifles. Good luck.
I'm selling all 4 of my 91/30's but the M39??????????? NEVER!!!!!!!

Well, I found out by research that my Hex reciever 91/30 is a finish rework, from 1942....russian stopped making the hex rec. in 1937 so it makes mine a prertty old rifle..Plus under all that grease was a nice looking barrel..Did a bunch of reading over on 7.62r . net..thanks Sean for pointing me in the right direction..OG>
Yep, I love 'em too. I have one of each flavor, VKT, SKY, SACO and "B". However, if you want the very best Finnish Mosin.....google Finnish M28-76. Probably the "best made" Mosin would be the Factory 11 Polish M44....but that ain't Finnish.
