It's already started some clown, on the linked newspaper article, posted that it should be illegal because of the risk to children

There are some Youtube videos showing power line workers working from a helicopter.

Actually, there are several unusual operations using Helos: Christmas tree hauling, animal herding, hunting.

I'm an ex-rotor head. Flew Cobras and Kiowa Warriors. Got to do some pretty high speed stuff over the years.

We had an MD-500 do some power line connections behind my house a while back (connecting hi voltage tension wires). Guy just rode around suspended via line from the helo.
Son of a rotor head. Stories of what my dad did in Cobras and a Cayuse just defined imagination (like starting earthquakes and forest fires with 76 rippled rockets)
Best adrenaline rush I've ever had was flying a TH-57 (once).
    The Maxims ....

    37. There is no 'overkill.' There is only 'open fire' and 'I need to reload.'

I got a phone call last week from my youngest son, the Marine, stationed at 29 Palms, CA.

He had been assigned to ride around in the civilian contracted range flight checking road guards and range access.

Turns out the guy flying the old Huey also flew Kiowas and knew me from back in the day.

The flight made the young Marine's day.
