    Unmarked rifle

I recently inherited a Mossberg 640K chambered in 22 magnum that was produced from 1958-1960 so it has no serial numbers on it. Guns in great shape and I know it hasn't been shot in fifty years as my uncle told me before he passed just don't think I'm going to keep it. Will I have any trouble selling the rifle because of the lack of serial numbers?

If it wasn't supposed to have a serial number, I don't know why you would have a tough time selling it. What was the date that serial numbers started to be required by the jack booted thugs?
