what case or box to send a Garand to Tim??

I am needing some work done to a Garand and am wondering if one of the CMP plastic cases would work for sending my rifle to Tim via USPS.

Thanks for any guidance you guys may offer.

if it works for CMP shipping, no reason you can't use it to ship to Tim

If you ship it inside the cardboard outerbox, I don't think you can ship just the plastic case. Fulton Armory sells nice foam lined boxes that you can reuse many times. I like these.

You can ship just the plastic but you might as well just use the box too if you have it.
