    Generation War on Netflix

Just watched the first episode and it looks pretty good. A German drama about five friends during WWII. It's spoken in German with subtitles.

Check it out if you get bored some night.

Funny how they call their WWII vets "generation war" and tom brokaw named ours "the greatest generation".

You would think brokaw would have grown up to be a good man. brokaw was influenced, however shortly, by one of the greatest men of the pre baby boomers, Joe Foss. brokaw then dropped out of the university of iowa and majored in political science later at University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Then the bottom broke out, brokaw went into TV and journalism. I knew brokaw was a democrat when it named the generation of franklin rossevelt "the greatest generation", in all seriousness who in the heck are we kidding? The GREATEST generation is the generation of Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Adams, Revere, Payne!

To call a generation "The Greatest" one has to analyze the risks that both the leaders and the common man of the time took, also what they fought for. The leaders of Washington's time actually signed their own death sentence when they penned their name to that little document called the Declaration of Independence. The common man of Washington's time was paid little if at all, and fought for something that never was and only hoped to be. These men risked ALL.

What did the generation of roosevelt do up to WWII? They elected a leader who never risked anything for their country, who created the largest welfare system to date, who promised them stuff for doing made up jobs, who created a ponzi scheme for them to rob their children of their wealth so that they may retire, and then they had to go to war because the war came to them.

One generation created a war to become independent and free, the other was working on destroying what the other had built and had war fall in their laps only to do what any other generation would do, defend themselves.
