This is brand new, it was mounted to a rifle briefly but never fired. It is 3-9x40, with Nikon's BDC recticle. A very nice scope, nicer than the prostaffs they are trying to have take it's place in the lineup now. It comes with Burris XTR Medium Rings.
If you Zero it at 100 yards, it is calibrated for 100 yard increments for rifle calibers at 2800fps Muzzle Velocity. So right in the Range of 308, 30-06, ect.
If you zero it at 200 yards and are using a magnum cartridge, those are the ranges then for the circles.
Nikon has a nice web app called 'Spot On' which allows you to select your scope and load, (or enter your load parameters, muzzle velocity, ballistic co-efficent, ect if using a handloads) and it will tell you what ranges the recticle dots are for your load and rifle. It's pretty slick.
