Dupage Krag Carbine restoration so far.

Here is the progress of my "Carbine"restoration,it had a generic block of wood attached to cut off forend,a hole w/screw through sideplate attaching a blank adapter inside,no safety, handguard or rear sight.,I carved, and attached a new end with matching grain, and w/band spring and installed mostly carbine rear sight and handguard from S&S firearms.I didn't have a Krag rear sight bar,so I cut a springfield 03 bar and silver soldered back together w/Krag top,but I don't have the peep hole slide for the center, and I don't have a carbine band but it sure shoots good. Here she is:

Very nice. I have a Krag that I need to finish messing around with. It is in pieces right now.

A very nice carbine there Your Grace!!! I just finished building a Krag. It is sportarized, but for the price it cost to put together it will stay that way.
