    Proof Firing?...

Reading a copy of TM9-1275 (Ordnance Maintenance), it reads that all rebarreled rifles are to be proof fired. My queries are, do any of you folks do this? If so, what load do you use? How do you fire the rifle? So far I have just reamed, gauged, lock, load and pull the trigger. Is my mortal being and soul damned for eternity?

Not on your life do I do a proof load. That would be an accident waiting to happen in my opinion.
