    Mini-G just arrived

    So the mailman handed this over today. It's a very late WWII SA. It was a solid rifle, but it was one ugly mutt. Mr. Shufflin fixed that, though. This thing looks like it just left the armory. Nice, nice work.

    I kind of like that gun. If I'm remembering right that's the one where you couldn't even pull the trigger. Odd park job too.

    This was the rifle that had badly mottled park and surface rust. Also was short stroking with surplus 7.62. I believed that the op rod was bent, as well. Was I right? Was it bent?

    Yep, it was bent and the trigger would not release the hammer.

    That is bizarre. Other than short stroking, the rifle functioned perfectly when I boxed it up. What was causing the trigger problem? Was there any damage?

    Nope. Something must have happened in transit. I was out in Yuma shooting it a couple of weeks before sending it to you. At any rate, you got her running. Thanks again, Tim.
