Was in the tree no more than 30 minutes and this guy came cruising past.
Didn't use a Garand or even .30-06. Shot him with a 6.5 Grendel I built from scratch. Used a 16" barrel from the Grendel forum (Faxon barrel), stripped upper/lower, 15" KMR rail, LaRue MBT trigger, ACS-L stock, and a Burris Veracity scope. It's a sweet little package that is quite handy to tote in the woods.
