I need some advice deciding on a sell price

I have a very nice 30-06 Garand from CMP (new walnut stock) with a 1945 receiver. I've fitted this gun with a new, never fired Kreiger barrel (GI configuration) and I've had an offer of $1400 for the gun. Is this reasonable or is the gun worth more? I purchased it from CMP in 2015 before their stock ran low.

    Thanks,
    MarkS.

I would say that is a reasonable price. I myself would not pay that much but I'm a collector more than a shooter.

If someone offers $1400 you better take it before they change their mind..................

I'd do as everyone else suggested, and sell for that price!

Well, I decided against all the sage advice offered here to keep it. Several reasons:

    * I unfortunately live in the socialist state of Massachusetts. When I bought this Garand, it was shipped directly to my door. Now CMP is required to ship to a FFL.
    * It has a GI contour Krieger bbl (new) installed by the Garand Guy.
    * It has a WWII receiver.
    * it has a battle sight and milled trigger guard.
    * when I opened the box, I thought that CMP had shipped me a Special by mistake, it was that nice.
    * Most importantly, I get attached to things - selling that gun would be like selling a child.

Which brings up my next question:
The original barrel is a WWII, but I doubt that it saw any action, the MW is about .5. Should I try and sell the barrel or pick up a field grade gun from CMP and make a shooter out of it?
    Thanks for all the feedback.
    Mark S.
