M1D or M1C Mount on Mini G?

All - Of the various ways to put a scope on a Mini G, I don't recall ever reading about or seeing an M1C or M1D mount installation on a Mini G.

Have ya'll seen this? Is there any reason it would not be viable? And wouldn't it allow use of the scope as well as still permitting use of the iron sights?

(I'm familiar with the Ultimak rail and the Amega rail, as well as the mount(s) which use the rear sight area to attach. I'm specifically curious about an M1C or M1D [reproduction] mount)
