My poor example of a 1903A4

I couldn't afford an A4. A good M73B with correct mounts and rings are almost half the price of an A4. So I built this instead out of a regular A3.

I got a CMP C-stock, a S & K insta-mount which requires no drilling of the receiver, a repo A4 bolt and my Leupold 3-9x by 40 scope. I couldn't get the front sight base off without damaging it, so I just took the sight blade off since I cant use it anyway.

I test fired it to see how it shoots. I was in the black at 200 yds but I didn't have a lot of time today, so I will have to refine the sighting at a later date.

Don't worry if plan "A" fails, there are still 25 other letters in the alphabet.

Very nice JAK! I really like the look of the CMP stock. Did it need much fitting?

The rifle needed no fitting in the stock. I made the cut behind the tang area a little larger to be safe.
The outside of the stock was real fat. The sling swivel, stacking swivel and bayonet lug would not fit on the stock without a lot of sanding.
