Had a great Day shooting My 1917,finally had it dialed in,and then it exploded!!!Pieces were everywhere,and the blood was gushing.I found most of the parts,had to go get metal pulled out of My face and they just called me to come back for X-rays.Glasses stopped shrapnel,but one piece almost came through..pics don't show hole very well..

Case ruptured,and blew the floorplate out and bent it.The extractor shattered and I'm guessing that was the shrapnel came from.Bolt welded in place.The funniest part is that I have an MRI scheduled Tomorrow for My Back and They called Me today and asked if I had any metal inside Me....well,now I do!!LOL
