    thanks Mike.
new to this platform, and learning the BM59 family is like trying to drink from a firehose!
    but it's fun

so, I don't need to change my monograms yet?

    You are welcome !
You can name it what you want, just like a baby . I have a very similar rifle fed with M14 mags. Mine has a slightly longer barrel .
I have not dubbed mine anything other than it looks like a M14 Mag fed BM62.

I've seen some with and some without. The first BM69 I ever saw for sale on the 'net was a 1-owner with the original box and receipt, it had the 5" tri-comp.

Yes ,you know it has the side swivel !
Eli, I have seen them with the 5" also on GB along with the standard BM59 G/C,I do not feel that they were original in that configuration from Beretta,I have seen several through the years that looked just like a BM62 in every way except for the red rubber buttpad and the bipod cuts on the G/C. Springfield would also cut your 62/69 G/C for the bipod for $72 including a bipod . Reese use to offer a conversion of your 69 or 62 to " Military Form" back in the day for a charge.Trade your BM62 G/C for BM59 with bipod for $110,trade your BM62/69 stock for BM59 stock for $65. Tri comp was straight out purchase for $90. This was circa 1981.
I have the brochure with the dealer price list from SA from 1981 and 1983.
The prices increased alot in the 2 years.

    Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

So now I can have my scout rail and eat it too!?!?! Arghhhh!!

Wonder if Shuff would do an op-rod swap...

Is the BM series comp still pretty much the only option?

Trying to figure out the cheaper and/or easier way to get a scout rail on my Mini-G.

Nice gun - I like the evil black look!

The Ultimak rail clamps and the op rod need to be modified to work.
I ordered the rail seperately, and Tim modded the oprod.
IIRC, the Scout clamps are thinner - not sure about clearance.

I did not want to mod the rail, so I went with the BM configuration.
Currently, there is no removal of material, only the straightening of the op rod.

I still have the original (modded) Mini-G op rod, but because I opted not to mod the rail,
I will have to use the stock rear handguard (or grind the rail clamps)

    Hope this makes sense

    There's some discussion here.

I love this gun - these things are fun :-)
