    m1 garand parts kit

Mr. Shuff I got a 308 cal. 1/2" short parts kit from Sarco. . Can you do the mag fed mini G mod to it. I'm very interested. I can do the parkerizing and stock finishing if you mod the stock for mag. I've built several garands from parts kits and it's addicting. Email me

I'm not Shuff, but those kits are essentially the same as the BM59E kits Sarco sells. Ought to take a magazine conversion without issue, but you might be money ahead to sell it and buy a BM59 kit instead.

Sonex, welcome to the forum/nut house! A lot of good people here who tend to become friends in a short time. You'll love the MiniG mag fed rifle. The one in my avatar is in a folding stock with a Nikon scope and a smith muzzle brake. Good luck with your build.

Your barrel lower band would be located 1/2" further back towards the receiver. I would have to have a gap between the lower band and the gas cylinder but yes, I can do it. In this case, I would highly recommend a golden state type bm59 lower band.
