    A little help?

    Guys just bought a new walnut m1 garand stock. What can I coat it with to give a little more shine plus a little tougher finish so it isnt so easy to nick? Peace toolman

    Maybe try a couple of coats of Birchwood Casey Tru-oil.

    Tru-oil is what I used and knocked the shine down a bit with 0000 steel wool

    Teak Oil gives a nice sheen but not shiney and seems to be more durable
