My kids had water pistols and such but I never bought them toy guns. They were all taught that guns are not toys.

They played "finger gun" of course and they got BB guns at age 5 or 6.

I didn't raise a son, so I never thought about your reason for not giving them toy guns. I never considered giving my daughter a cap pistol.

We had a suicide by cop this weekend using a pellet gun. In this neck of the woods it's been years since a perp was shot, much less dead over a pellet gun. Yes sad for sure BUT just more fodder.
