My M1 project has been completed! Sorry on pics at this time. I named this M1 Battle Tested as a lot of the parts came from members of this forum. The reason for no pics is that at this time the M1 is serving with a volunteer group of former and retired military as Honor Guards at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. These men fill in when active duty members are not available for Honor Guards. The military is serving current members and the volunteers ,when needed are serving former and retired members. When I was asked if it were possible to locate an M1 while theirs was undergoing repairs I offered them the BT Garand, I told them how it was assembled from parts sent to me from all over the US. The volunteer group thought it was a real tribute and honor to use it and asked that I thank you all.
