Sorry for the cluttered shot, but I seldom have them all out of the safe at one time.
I had three of the WWII rifles out at a living history event this weekend and they needed to be completely cleaned inside and out before going nitey nite. I'm still using the old red tip M1909 blanks and they leave a good bit of fouling. It also rained for a short time and I needed to oil the stocks.
One thing led to another and all 15 rifles ened up getting a BLO wipe down. :D
The first shot is of the whole herd. All of my post war rifles are wearing USGI birch.
The second is just the WWII era rifles.

Yes..My name is Kurt and I am a Garandaholic.
Garands are like rabbits, they multiply quickly.

Mine appear to be all of one sex as they have not increased in the dark safety(and privacy)of the safe.
Good looking group reminds me of my old armory at the operations desk.

Now, if you had to get rid of all but one, which would you keep? I have accumulated several extra carbines and can't decide which ones to sell because I like them all.

Hmmm..I bought my first Garand in 1986. Sold it to buy something else and have regretted it ever since. I bought my second in 1988 and still have it.
I have sold a dozen or more guns in that time, but the M1's are a constant.
But If I could only keep one, it would be my 'like new' 5.4M SA. It's a beautiful gun.

Ah, the 5.4, very very nice receivers. I like the 5.8's as well.

I don't have any 5.8's yet. I have a 5.6M HRA, but nothing past that other than my commercial .308.
My main focus has always been the WWII era guns, but I'm warming up to the late 50's versions.

I try to feel the"post War passion",but I just don't have it in Me.One Day I will get an HRA,and IHC but it is not High on My list...I am one of the few Guys that doesn't get turned on by the IHC's(except I need 1 for MFGR set someday),but Hey,I'm odd.I do think You have a very nice collection BTW.

Does the 2-45 have a 3.52 serial number? Does the 5.4 have another 4 after that follows? Just checking on the off chance they are a close relative to mine.

The 2-45 is 3497546.
The two 5.4's are 5421678 and 5438652

I have a large collection of guns, but I'm not a 'gun collector'. I don't own anything that cannot serve it's intended purpose.
I really don't understand the logic behind spending thousands of dollars on something to just lock it up in a safe. I'd have to be at the range every weekend to shoot everything I own, but I'd be happy to do just that if I could just win the lottery!!
Lack of time and money for ammo keeps me from shooting them all as much as I'd like. :)

Close, but not that close. Mine is 5442009 and 3,52cant remember the rest. The 3.52 was my first Garand and my match rifle for the first year.
