I took only a couple of pics of the Garand some of you helped me out with parts. The Garand was loaned to a group of vets for ceremonies at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery while their rifles were put back into working order. The reason it served so long was the fact that to them it represented more than just an issue rifle. Everyone wanted to carry it at least once.It served in 33 interments and believe or not 3 Flag Presentations. They wished to thank all of you for restoring an old warrior to help serve others who have now given all.

As I stated before it is not so much the rifle as it is the spirit it served in. Here is the other side, nothing really stands out but its recent service.
