Going through some clip latches and noticed that the button on the front one is on a bevel. Never saw one like it before

Is this a identifiying feature of a manufacture?

Thanks guys

Only WRA could get away with that.

Got the ole magnifiying glass out and found a very faint "S" forging letter. Must just be a SA latch made on a bad day

All them machine marks WRA was my first thought.

It still saddens me that a real gun manufacturer couldn't make a prettier weapon than that.

I usually LIKE Winchesters!

Exactly why I am now a Democrat. I want to rid the world of these "Killing Machines"! I hope to see the day when my grandchildren can say "Grandpa, what's a gun?" Obama 2012!!!

I know that is true and they were making them to work and be as inexpensive as possible but why did the Gov'Ment manufacturer finish them like a real firearm and the firearm manufacturer couldn't/didn't?

Always wondered that.

I guess Winchester still needed to make a profit on them and Uncle Sugar didn't. That makes sense.

I'd still want 3 winchesters to replace my SA>.

It's a shame wra, or any private manufacturer, were aloud to make these fine government weapons. God save the queen.
