Problem Garand

Have a HRA barreled receiver that I assembled into a complete rifle today.
All correct HRA parts and stock. Went to close the trigger guard and it was very, very tight, to the point of starting to bend the gaurd. Changed out to another gaurd and was still very, very hard to close but closed without bending guard.
I racked the bolt , pulled the trigger and bolt was stuck closed. Had to tap on the Op Rod handle to get open. As long as I dont pull the trigger bolt will open fine.
Was tired of messing with it so put it up for the day.
I am guessing it must be something to do with the overly tight fit?
Any ideas before I tear into her again tomorrow?

Try a different trigger group to help isolate the problem?

Than what I do Look for the rub inside the stock.Sand that spot a little at a time.
Don't sand on that beautiful H&R bolt

I tried another trigger group and bolt still sticks just not as bad. Tried everything in a different stock and it operates smoothly.
Gonna have to do some work on the wood
