Hey guys, Merry Christmas to all. I had a box of .38 special under the tree to feed my new victory model revolver, as well as this:

Its a legit WW2 Mk 2A1 pineapple grenade!! Manufactured by American Fireworks company. (which I believe made grenades up to 1943) I saw this at a gunshow in November and the seller told me the black handle is quite rare. I dont know if this is true or not, but does anyone here know?? I was SOOO bummed when I went back to purchase it and it was gone. My Dad snuck back to the show before me and bought it!!! Like I said this morning:

"Nothing says I love you like explosives!!!" (yes it is DE-milled)

Thats awesome. I would love to have am original grenade body.
I use the open bottomed 'training' versions to avoid any issues with some idiot thinking they are real. I get asked that at least 5 times a day when our unit sets up it's big display. Nobody seems to get very excited about the real M1's, M1919 and Thompsons we have, but the grenades always seem to attact attention.

Mine is black also with paint over it and also AF. It was in a rental I bought after the old fella passed away. I had to clean the house out and this was there. Surprised the seller didn't tell you the Yellow is even rare, I kid I kid. Rick B
