What is a IHC gap letter receiver worth? I know someone who has a beat up mixmaster and I am trying to get him to part with it. Have not seen it in 10 years, so I do not know what shape it's in. For the sake of value, how about a range in pricing?

I was wondering the same thing. In my own estimation, I would take a typical CMP stripped receiver that costs $200 and add a premium on it because it was an IHC. That premium to me would be $50-$100 based on condition.

An IHC receiver made for them by SA.

OK, is there a gap in the printing? I doubt that I'll ever own an IHC, unless someone drops one in my lap.

Yes, there is a gap in the lettering. I don't have a pic to show you but you'll figure it out if you ever see one.

I sold this one recently so had the pic ready. Notice the gap between US and Rifle, and thats the Gap. Also notice the heat lot numbers some of the gaps have SA heat lot numbers. IHC/SA

An Arrowhead kinda' looks like this:

U.S.Rifle
Cal. .30 M1
International
Harvester
XXXXXXX

They are all center-spaced. I don't know why this won't allow it to be shown other than left margin. But I think you get the idea.

Understand "arrowhead" now too! Probably still as close as I'll ever come to an IHC is these pictures.

Hey KK,
I thought I'd never own a tractor but I got lucky the first part of last year and found a really nice one for a decent price and it now resides with my HRA and 2 SA's. Keep the faith,my friend. You'll eventually land one.

Yeah, I guess you never really know. Some things have fallen into my lap when I least expect them. Like the Steam Gauge & Lantern Company fire department lantern that I got for $65 once at a local antique show and traded for a $650 presentation speaking trumpet. I kinda regret the trade now, as I doubt I'll ever find another lantern like that. Like I regret the trades I made on my first 2 M1 carbines for fire lanterns and Lionel trains, before I knew what the carbines were all about. The nice Dietz Queen Fire Dept. lantern I have and the Cairns octigon speaking trumpet sorta make up for it though. And the Lionel train set I got that was still in the original wrapping papers and boxes that came in a "bundle" of trains for $1200 and I sold for $3600. Of course, I've made my share of bad purchases and sales too, but no one ever brags about those.

If you've never done something you later regretted you're not in it deep enough. I've got some regrets but hey, it's over and done with and I can't "undo" them. C'est la guerre.
