Buy one before it's too late.We are approaching the Centenial of WW1,prices are going up now and when the collectors hoopla starts on the 100th anniversary they'll really get expensive.
They are a lot of fun, especially when you shoot one at a meet.

I had to add one to my collection , couldn't let the 98 Mauser sit by its self in the locker. Got a real good deal on an 03A3 in full military dress. Most of the ones I've had were "sporterized". This one will remain in it's military configuration. They are great rifles but a little stout on the recoil.Makes a good hunting rifle just as it is. No problems with what you feed it and the sights are fully adjustable. My next addition will be a 1917.

I had an 03A3 in full military dress, with the original DCM paper work from 1958. Hit a real bad patch a few years ago, sold it. in case anyone is interested the cost from The DCM was $12.50 plus 2.50 shipping. I still have my sporterized 03A3 and still hunt with it.

I love mine. It shoots great. I'd really like to get my hands on an o3A3 soon. Hopefully the CMP will have some good ones soon.

With supposedly only 600 available from the CMP, it's going to be a feeding frenzy. I'm hoping my deployment status will get me one at the top of the list.

In the past O has made "special arrangements" for servicemen out on deployment. Email him directly.

The lady I talked to at customer service told me they would move me to the top of the list, but I'll shoot him an email just the same.
Thanks

How much does a good one (whatever the hell a good one is) sell for today?

$600-$800 depending on condition. I've seen some as low as $300 and crazy mo-fo's pay over $1k, but those are rare.

You may want to contact Paid4c4 on this forum , he is thinking of selling one with the shipping box and it a nice rebuild. I would pay extra to know what I was getting. I received a few beauties from the CMP but more than a few only ok ones also, although I would almost bet they would take a moment to make sure you get a nice one.. Good luck and thank you for your service and the great pics Tom

He's going to take some pictures for me. I just have to swing it through the finance department.
