I'm surprised they didn't go up more. I'll be ordering some more SGs.

Looks like a quantity of 2000 Service grades, with an Orest ballpark of 20% GI Wood, 80% New Production.
Guess 2010/2011 was the time to get them.

People are prasing them for the price increase, gees we were getting much better rifles with nice GI wood for less, now buy one for 625$ and spend another 100+ for nice GI walnut and you have 700$ plus in a service grade, im holding out for woodless and barreled receivers, they can keep their SG's

Are all the builders and service providers being praised for their price increases this year? Are any of them raising prices? I'm a little confused, the price of Garands has gone DOWN on gunbroker and auction sites so why would the CMP raise the price? I thought they were to be comparable to the market fluctuations?

Someone at the CMP is making some serious money because they can't be spending that much to promote marksmanship. Hell 99% of the folks I talk to at the range have never even heard of the CMP.

Yes but money has to be put back for the future when there is nothing left to sale.
CMP does spend $$$ for youth shooting and Scholorships, etc .If they can get the higher prices I say more power to them

I would think that since they are quasi-govt/private the only shut down would be in the form of no more rifles.

I will not raise my rates for Battle Tested members this year. You have my word on that.

The CMP's endowment fund has been called "self sustaining". I am guessing that means they have enough $ in there to operate of the interest/dividends. That means no need for sales anymore. Can they be shut down? Yes, it would be an act of Congress to do so as that is who created them.
Will Congress shut down the CMP? If they ever get control of both the Senate and the House plus the executive branch I think they will. It will be at the top of their list of "reforms".
And the money? Appropriated to be user for "Firearms Re-education".

Based on visit this day to CMP South, any 'woodless' or 'barreled receivers' are prepped for 'Cerimonial' weapons or restocked, won't see any for public sale in the near future.
