Yes you read it right. Three poles in a triangle with wire fencing. When it is time to drop they should snatch them but this buck is showing how smart he is. Notice he is pawing the feed out. He did sink his head in a few times but his horns hung tight. Rick B

I would think you should have those sheds soon?

Rattlers and wall mounts. Pops will not let me give any away as he wants them. I have a few around my office but honestly not enough to sell off at this point. I still have some friends looking for me to help them with rattling horns. Rick

Okay, I have my little buck kills on the wall out in the Garage. I never thought about doing the rattling . I was thinking you might have made knife handles or pistol grips or something with them .

Pretty darn neat that you got a shed. I thought the theory was sound, good to see it work in action.

Isn't it a bit late to be shedding antlers?

Tell that big boy that. Might be the good food I'm giving them instead of a bad winter and a depletion of nutrients. There body was in a bit better shape then usual. All I can figure. As you can see he is pretty big after a winter and that isn't normal here. Rick

Tim and I just had this conversation a week ago. Everyday on the way to and from work I pass a large parcel of private property that is home to over 100 deer. It's fenced in all along the road and has pretty much become a zoo. People stop there every day to get out and watch the deer. The deer are pretty tame after years of this and will come right up to the fence. There is a good ratio of bucks in there - including MANY mature bucks. A week ago the bucks all still had their horns except one younger buck that had lost one side.
