Was at my buddy Elwyn's place today. He just re-did his gun racks and came up with this cool idea, I liked it. He had all his M1's on a wall with hang tags above each rifle with the date, manufacturer, and a little diddy about each one. He also had his M1 Garand Enbloc loading device all done. He made the thing over the last few weeks and was really enjoying the use of it. Elwyn makes a LOT of rounds for me and loading Enblocs sucks.
The photo's of the Enbloc loader
Photo's of the man cave he has, I love the storage idea. Elwyn, if you read this, let everyone know how you did the stacking swivel supports, very cool and very smart.

I really like that rack. Putting a rifle in the rack receiver "in" hides the parts I want to see the most. I could care less to see the sling/underside.
How are the rifles secured with the stacking swivel?

Looks a lot like Sean's old wall.

Nice,
I only wish I had a man cave where I could display my rifles. Unfortunatly they are all in gunsocks and stacked like sardines in a safe

Just to be sure on the loader, I'm not inferring that Elwyn designed the loader, JCG did that. Elwyn just used the drawings put out by someone called "foundry ray". Elwyn did not design the loader and doesn't want to take credit for it. The link below is the source for the drawings.
Elwyn is not going to build or sell these for monetary gain.
Elwyn simply built one for his own use due to the difficulty that he has loading the clips with the arthritis in his hands.

Ray Brandes (of ray-vin.com fame) retired a couple years ago. I wouldn't expect him to be making any either.

Hanging on the stacking swivel. Elwyn reads this forum but he hasn't signed up. Elwyn, why don't you show a close up of the tab for this.

Thanks for the pic Buzzy! Great idea.
Guessing that's alum plate for the rack?

Used 1/4 x 1 1/4" aluminum for the rack and 3/8 x 1 1/4 x 1" long for the spacers
Drill and countersinked for a #10 screw.
The mini g fits but is very close to hitting the front sling swivel. If you want one just for the g, relieve just a bit from the bottom of the rail just below the tab!

Welcome, Buzzy!
I absolutely love the cartridge loader that you built. I don't do much work in metal, because I don't have the tools for it, but I wish that I could build one of those. You did a great job on it!
I wish that I could just hang the rifles on the wall, but with little kids in the house I keep them all locked in the gun cabinets. I recently added LL Bean gun socks to the M1 rifles and my son's shotgun and found a dehumidifier chemical container at the dollar store that I'm trying out in the safes too. Suppose to be good for 3 to 4 months. We'll see.
