Front sight post

I can't seem to find where I read it but a guy mentioned using a NM front sight post on a Mini since the the sight radius is shorter and the front sight is obviosly closer so the standard front sight post is a little on the thick side(like a Socom). Anyone tried this out before I shell out the 35 dollars to give it a try? Also noticed Smith has a tritium front sight for 85 http://www.smithenterprise.com/products05.html . Doesn't appear to be thinner but kind of cool. I don't have any experience with night sights but it sounds cool. My only concern is I run a red dot so in thoery I could have 2 different color dots in my vision...

you won't regret it.
if not mistaken, the PB is of the narrow variety also.
coupled w/ a NM rear peep, the groups get considerably smaller :-)

FWIW, I also have the NM front sight on my Mini-G, and much prefer it over the wider blade.

I would suggest the BM59 front site,it is NM blade thickness and used on some short barreled rifles like the BM62, 17" barrel.
I believe Standard parts LLC has some.

I too have a NM front sight post on my Mini-G & find it vastly superior to the standard post.

It is used with the shorter barrels,the blade might be of a different higheth.
