I read that to identify the manufacture of Garand front sights you can measure the width of the blades.
I find the measurements are all over the board.
Also cant indentify WRA as having a punchmark as I see punches on all widths of blades
Whats everyones take on this??

You are right about the blades being different widths, and the punch marks being on all widths. I have found WRA sights with blades that were wider than IHC. You can only go by the diffeerent widths: SA 9/16, HRA 5/8, WRA 3/4, & IHC 7/8. As I said previously, the widths can vary. (Possibly due to different contractors making them, or different machinists within the same company.)

I have two that measure .799 and .789 with punchmarks. Would they be WRA??

I can tell SA, they look nice. I can't tell HRA or IHC, nothing special. I CAN tell WRA, just look for the biggest hack machine job I can find and call it WRA.
